Angelica Panganiban, a Filipino American actress and model who also works as a television hostess as well as a comedian. Angelica Hale suffered from double pneumonia in 2012. At the time, she was four years old when she was diagnosed. Her illness was an aggressive strain of the strep bacteria. Angelica Hale desperately needed life-saving medical intervention and was placed on ECMO life-support at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. She went septic and experienced numerous organ failures, which included the kidneys that did not fully recover. Hemodialysis and later peritoneal dialysis changed her life to a new normal. After spending over 80 days in the hospital, she went from being near death to a long recovering path. Angelica was on dialysis for more than a decade and half of that time before she was able to undergo an organ transplant. Her mother would be the organ donor. Angelica Hale was able to undergo a kidney transplantation along alongside her mother on the 13th of September, 2013. The surgery was performed at Emory University Hospital, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale is pursuing her stardom dreams ever since.
